OOTD | Floral Kimono & Red Sandals

Today is a quick post about one of my favourite outfits this summer. As you may know i have been loving kimonos, and pairing them with a crop top and high wasted shorts is the way i have been wearing them recently. I also purchased these red sandals and I'm not much of a sandal wearer however i really love these!

Where is everything from?

Shorts - Forever 21

Top - H&M

Kimono - Primark

Sandals - Primark

Q: What is your favourite way to wear a kimono?

Ombré Blue Eyeliner | Inspired by Shaanxo

As i mentioned in my last post, I recently ordered some blue eyeliners in many different shades. The reason to this was that i wanted to re-create an ombré blue eyeliner look shaanxo did on youtube. So i had a go and i absolutely love it! It was really simple once i got the hang of it and i think is perfectly wearable for a nice summers day or even a festival if your not into wearing a lot of makeup for an every day look.
The eyeliners i used are all linked in my previous blog post, they are all from fragrance direct apart form one which is a rimmel white eyeliner from superdrug.
Some tips i have if you're thinking of re-creating this look are:
- Put some tape from the outer edge of your eye towards the edge of your eyebrow. This will make it much easier for you to create a crisp wing line and it should help both sides to become even
- Blend! This look is all about a subtle change in colours from white to dark blue, if the transition between each colour is not smooth then the look won't come out as affective. I found drawing over the lighter colour a little with the darker colour made a medium between them so the sudden change isn't so obvious.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post! If you would like me to recreate any makeup looks or outfits please tell me in the comments!

Classic Red Lip and Pinup Eyeliner Look

Hey guys! Today i wanted too share with you a classic, sophisticated makeup look as i have recently purchased Maybelline's colour sensational lipstick in 'Neon Red' and i absolutely love it. This look would be perfect for work or any 'sophisticated' event you may be going to. You can even wear it as an everyday look, it is so versatile. I paired it with a low bun as i felt that fit best with the classic theme.
As you can see, I used L'oreal Nude Magique Foundation on my skin, with the maybelline fit me concealer to cover any blemishes/ under eye circles a bit better. On the eyes i lightly dusted W.O.S from the Naked Basics palette all over the lid and in my crease used a bit of the colour Naked 2. I also used Collections Felt Tip Eyeliner, which i love, to create a basic pinup style wing and on my lashes used Benefit's They're Real! Mascara. Finally, on the lips i used Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick lipstick in 'Neon Red.'
I hope you enjoyed this blog! What's your favourite red lipstick? Comment down below :)

How I Style: Oversized Tee's

Look No.1

Leggings: Internacional

Necklace: Newlook
Top: Asos
Cardigan: Primark

 Look No.2
Shoes: Deichman
Baggy/oversized tee's, i find, are one of the hardest items of clothing to make wearable. They are one of those things that look incredible on the model but when you come to trying to make it work on your self, it becomes a struggle. Last week I thought i would just bite the bullet and order this plain white one from asos (size 2, and its still this huge!) as i wanted to challenge my self and share with you how i ended up styling it.
The first look is for when the weathers a bit more chilli and is quite casual, however you could still dress it up or down deepening on the shoes and jacket you wear with it. I chose to tie the tee into a baggy, messy crop top and pair it with some black disco pants. I'm actually really loving this look and have worn it quite a bit since discovering it.
I think any outfit including an oversized tee, needs a statement necklace. For both my looks i chose a statement necklace as i feel it really ties the look together and makes it look more like an outfit, rather than some baggy pjs!
The second look is for a more dressed up, day time look in summer. I chose to go all out and where the top as a dress, which at first i was a bit spectacle about but once i paired it with the statement necklace, an oversized cardigan and some small heeled boots, the outfit suddenly became whole and i surprisingly love it.
Have you tried making the baggy tee trend work? Let me know in the comments, i'd love to know how you style it! Also, sorry the photo quality isn't great, the lighting was awful the day i took these photos.
